    CHAIRMAN

    He joined the Board in June 2012, and he is the Chairman of the Strategy Committee and a member of the Procurement Committee. An Alumni of the Britannia Royal Naval College, the US Naval Staff College and the US Naval War College, he retired from the Kenya Armed Forces in 2005 having served as the Chief of the General Staff (2000-2005), the Commandant of the National Defense College (1998-2000) and the Commander of the Kenya Navy (1988- 1998). Upon his retirement from active duty, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Ports Authority (2005-2008). He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kenya Trade Network Agency.

    He joined the Board in September 2011. He has over 15 years experience in International Academic Health Planning, Health System Research, Management and Policy as well as Business Administration with various International agencies in different countries at different levels.  He shares his time between teaching, consulting, researching, writing and strategy. He is currently the Assistant Professor of Epidemiology in the faculty of medicine at University of Juba, South Sudan and also an Advisor to Juba City Municipality on development issues.

    She joined the Board in June 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi. She is a Fellow of Certified Accountants (FCCA), Certified Public Secretary (CPS) Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She holds a Certificate of Advanced course in Investment Banking. She is a trainer in Governance, Member of Institute of Directors, Honorary member of the Institute of Financial Analyst. She is a Management and Financial Restructuring expert having over thirty five years experience in financial management, information management system, financial internal control system, financial accounting and reporting, corporate restructuring, project management and privatization. She has served as a council member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the Registration of Accountants Board, member of the Examination Committee of Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board. She is the Chairman of the Group Audit Committee and also serves in the Risk, Information Technology and Human Resources Committees and as Chairman of KCB Bank South Sudan Board of Directors.

    Mr. Yacoub Kenyi Leju was appointed as a Board Member to the Board of KCB Bank South Sudan on 1st August, 2018. He is currently working as a Finance Secretary, South Sudan Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture, Juba from 2011 todate. He also doubles up as a Freelance Academician and Business Consultant in Juba from 2010 to date. Previously he was a Councilor, Juba City Council, South Sudan from 2011 to 2013, a Member of Parliament South Sudan Legislative Assembly from 2013 to2016 and worked as a National Air Traffic Control Officer, Sudan, Khartoum from 1985 to 2006.
    Mr. Leju holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from University of Juba, South Sudan and a Post Graduate Diploma, Commerce from Nilean University, Sudan.
    His areas of expertise are in Lobbying & Advocacy, Project cycle Management, Capacity Building, Strategies and Initiatives, Human Resource, Performance Management, NGOs & Government, Financial Management, Risk, Proposal Development, Income Generating Activities and Governance.

    Mr. Kiambi has over 15 years progressive experience in Finance at senior and executive levels across many countries in various organizations. He joined the bank in May 2015.  Mr Kiambi’s immediate posting was East African Breweries Limited (EABL) where he was the Group Supply Finance Director, responsible for 10 legal entities across 6 countries.

    He previously worked at AIG Property and Casualty (General Insurance) as the Chief Finance Officer.  Prior to that he worked at British American Tobacco (BAT) Ltd (United Kingdom & Kenya) in various senior capacities.

    He has also worked at Cadbury LTD East & Central Africa, Kenya as the Finance and IT Director. He holds a Bachelor of Science-Accounting, from the United States International University Africa (USIU) and is a Certified Public Accountant of Kenya.

    Harun Kibogong was appointed the Managing Director of KCB Bank South Sudan in August 2013.He holds a Bachelor in Arts from University of Nairobi, has also attended many Professional Courses among them Project Management Course, Leadership Development. He has served in various management positions in KCB since joining the Bank as a Management Trainee more than 27 years ago. Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director of KCB South Sudan, he served as the Regional Business Manager Western, he served as a Manager in different Branches, National Retail Manager, Business Development Manager – CEO Office, (Responsible for establishing KCB Bank.

  • Mary Oganga Mary Oganga COMPANY SECRETARY ×

    COMPANY SECRETARY

    She joined the Bank in 1993 and is currently working at Security Documentation Centre as a Legal Documentation Manager from 2015. She also worked at Legal Department till July 2015 as a Legal Manager. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree and Masters in Law in Public International Law (LLM) from the University of Nairobi. She is an Accredited Governance Auditor and Certified Public Secretary from the Institute of Certified Secretaries.

    Experienced Legal Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the financial sector. Skilled in Corporate Law, International Law and Banking.

    She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Commissioner for Oaths and a Notary Public. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya, East African Law Society, Instituted of Certified Secretaries and an Alumni of International Law Development Organisation (IDLO).

    She was appointed the Company Secretary of KCB Bank South Sudan in August 2016 todate. She was also the Company Secretary of KCB Bank Rwanda from 2013 to February, 2016.

This description undoubtedly matches who our Head of Business Development Kenya Commercial Bank- South Sudan.

    Roba Waqo Jaldesa, joined the bank in 1994 and brings a wealth of experience and expertise for his new role at the bank. He is responsible for driving business expansion and growth at the bank through sales and marketing and client support where he offers banking solutions designed to solve complex challenges hence increasing client satisfaction and retention. He is also actively involved in capacity building and has trained, additionally mentored over 50 managers in all cross functional departments this propelled growth towards excellence.

    Mr Jaldesa, graduated from Kenya Methodist University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration- Marketing option. He has also done an array of banking courses, chief among them, Leadership development, Credit and accounting, Customer Service, Business Development, HR-employee relations, Credit analysis, loan appraisal & financial analysis, Internal risk taking and risk mitigation. His mastery in banking is top notch.
    Previously, Roba has served as a Senior branch manager, Operations manager and Project manager where is has continuously and successfully driven business growth for the bank and improved client satisfaction and retention.

    He is married, a family man who believes in utilization of full potential and instilling positive impact in the environment he is in and ultimately self-realization as a consummate leader.

    Head of Finance

    Granton joined the bank in April 2007. He is currently the Head of Finance for KCB Bank South Sudan and a sitting EXCO member. Granton in his role is also the lead person in Strategy and planning for the subsidiary and the Chairman of Tender Committee.

    Granton has 11 years of useful experience in financial reporting and management. He is a holder of Masters in Economics and a bachelor’s degree in the same field. Granton is also a certified member of ICPAK /ACCA.

    Currently Head of Treasury KCB Bank South Sudan. Albert joined KCB Bank in 2012 and has over 16 years’ experience in banking, of 3 years have been in Banking Operations and 13 years at Treasury Dept. Currently a sitting member of Executive Management Committee KCB Bank South Sudan. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and an ACI certification.

    Japheth is the Acting Head of Human Resources. He holds an MSc in Strategic Business & Information Technology from University of Portsmouth and a Post Graduate Diploma from NCC Education (UK). He is certified in Learning & Development Practice and a Member of Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), UK.

    Head of Risk 

    Joanita is currently the Head of Risk & Compliance, a member of the Executive Management Committee and sits on the Board Risk Committee of KCB Bank South Sudan.

    Joanita joined KCB Group in 2014 as the Operational Risk Manager with KCB Bank Uganda. Previously, she worked with Barclays Bank Uganda in several capacities with Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Control Rigour & Assurance, Compliance and main stream Banking Operations. She has over 15 years of experience in banking and Risk Management disciplines.

    Joanita is a Chartered Certified Accountant and a member of the ACCA; a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors; holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University; a Postgraduate Diploma in Consumer Credit Skills from the Chartered Banker Institute-UK and currently pursuing her MSc Strategic Planning with Edinburgh Business School, Heriot–Watt University.

    Gabriel joined KCB Bank South Sudan in 2015.Prior to joining the Bank, served at Southern Sudan Associated Advocates. He holds LLB and is an advocate/member of South Sudan Bar Association.

  • David Simiyu Munyei David Simiyu Munyei Head of Operations ×

    Head of Operations

    Currently Head of Operations KCB Bank South Sudan. David joined KCB Bank on 13th January 1982 and has over 36 years’ experience in banking, 14 of which have been in Banking and 22 years in Operations as Clearing Manager (Kenya), Head of Operations and IT (Burundi) and Head of Operations Uganda. He was a member of ATM, TC3, Finacle, T24 (R8 and R14) core banking implementation teams. He represented KCB at KBA in the cheque truncation national project and was a member of the KBA clearing committee.

    Currently a sitting member of Executive Management Committee KCB Bank South Sudan. He holds a Diploma in banking and ongoing BBA student at UNISA.

    Charles joined KCB Bank in 2006 and has 2 years’ experience in general banking and 10 years’ experience in Audit. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Master of Science in Finance & CPA (K). He is a member of ICPAK & IIA.

  • Stephen K. Njau Stephen K. Njau Head of IT ×

    Head of IT

    Currently the Head of IT KCB Bank South Sudan, Stephen joined the Bank in June 2017 and has over 10 years of experience in the IT and Banking. His immediate past workplace was at Spire Bank Limited Kenya as Manager ICT. He has also worked with Liberty Commercial Bank, South Sudan as Head of IT also Habib Bank Limited. He is currently a sitting member of Executive Management Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Catholic University of East Africa and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
