Amb John Mwangemi currently works as a Strategic Advisor for Sojitz East Africa, on consultancy basis. With an illustrious career spanning over 30 years, Amb. John Mwangemi has held various leadership roles as well as senior management roles in the corporate world. He served as the Managing Director of Kenya Ports Authority, for 3 years from the year 2021 to 2023. Prior to his appointment in the position of MD KPA, he was on his second ambassadorial posting to the Republic of Djibouti. Amb John Mwangemi has also served as High Commissioner of the Republic of Kenya to the Republic of Rwanda for a period of 6 years.
Prior to his appointment to the Diplomatic Service, Amb John Mwangemi spent close to 20 years working in the corporate world. He first worked for The Coca- Cola Company as Senior Manager responsible for Technical Services in East and Central Africa before moving to Diversey Lever and legacy companies. He worked in Morocco as Managing Director for North Africa, and then moved to Dubai in the same capacity. He later moved to head the South African operations where he also doubled as Vice President for Africa and Middle East. In 2010, Amb John Mwangemi was transferred to the Netherlands in the position of Vice President to lead the Hospitality Sector for the entire Europe. Amb Mwangemi also served as director in The State Corporation Advisory Committee for a period of three years.
Amb John Mwangemi studied at the Institute of Agronomy of the University of Clermont Ferrand France. He is also an alumnus of University of Liverpool School of Business where he obtained his MBA degree. He is fluent in Kiswahili, English and French.
Mr. Garang Diing Akuong holds a Masters Degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies - University of London and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Alexandria University in Egypt.
He has served as the Republic of South Sudan Ambassador (Head of the Mission), to USA, Former National Minister of Energy and Mining, Commerce, lndustry and Investment, Former Member of National Legislative Assembly, Member South-North Sudan Boundary Committee, Former Northern Bhar el-Gazal State Minister of, Health, Parliamentary Affair, Agriculture and Finance. He also has over 10 years’ experience working with International organizations in Sudan, for example the World Food Programme and Catholic Relief Services
Mr. Yacoub Kenyi Leju was appointed as a Board Member to the Board of KCB Bank South Sudan on 1st August, 2018. He is currently working as a Finance Secretary, South Sudan Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture, Juba from 2011 todate. He also doubles up as a Freelance Academician and Business Consultant in Juba from 2010 to date. Previously he was a Councilor, Juba City Council, South Sudan from 2011 to 2013, a Member of Parliament South Sudan Legislative Assembly from 2013 to2016 and worked as a National Air Traffic Control Officer, Sudan, Khartoum from 1985 to 2006. Mr. Leju holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from University of Juba, South Sudan and a Post Graduate Diploma, Commerce from Nilean University, Sudan.
His areas of expertise are in Lobbying & Advocacy, Project cycle Management, Capacity Building, Strategies and Initiatives, Human Resource, Performance Management, NGOs & Government, Financial Management, Risk, Proposal Development, Income Generating Activities and Governance

Roba Waqo Jaldesa, joined the bank in 1994 and brings a wealth of experience and expertise for his role. His main mandate is to provide overall leadership to business and company executive committee as well as develop and implement the company’s business strategy. He is responsible for driving business expansion and growth through innovative banking solutions designed to solve complex challenges. He is also actively involved in capacity building and has trained and mentored over 50 managers in all cross functional departments. This has propelled growth and cohesion of a high performing, motivated cross-cultural team that delivers beyond expectation.
Mr Jaldesa graduated from Kenya Method University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration- Marketing option. He has also done a couple of banking courses including Credit and accounting, Customer Service, Business Development, HR-employee relations, Credit analysis, loan appraisal & financial analysis, Internal risk taking and risk mitigation. His mastery in banking is top notch.
Previously, Roba has served as Head of Business Development- South Sudan, Senior branch manager, Operations manager and Project manager where is has continuously and successfully driven business growth for the bank and improved client satisfaction and retention.
He is married, a family man who believes in utilization of full potential and instilling positive impact in the environment he is in, ultimately self-realization as a consummate leader.
Ms. Youlalia Thomas has held various senior leadership roles for over 15 years. She led Kings Distinction Management Limited as Managing Director. Due to her entrepreneurial capabilities, she has established and successfully steered several companies while taking financial, strategic and operational risks to drive growth, innovation and long-term sustainability. She has been involved in general trading and real estate ventures. She is a Consultant on Strategy and Leadership for various companies.
Ms. Youlalia Thomas Tingui holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Daystar University, Nairobi and a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from AHFAD University for Women, Khartoum.
Ms. Youlalia Thomas serves as a Board member on various company Boards.
Dennis Volemi is a distinguished technology and business leader with over 18 years of experience in the telecommunications, media, entertainment, and financial services sectors in East Africa. Currently, he holds the position of Group Director, Technology (Group CTO) at KCB Group, a role he has been serving in since 2023. Mr. Volemi has previously held senior leadership positions at Safaricom, Equity Group Holdings, NCBA Group, Diamond Trust Bank and Wananchi Group.
Dennis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, has completed several senior management leadership training programmes, holds various professional certifications, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration. Additionally, as part of his thought and industry leadership Mr. Volemi serves as an advisory member to several institutions these include the Strathmore Business Schools, iLAB on CIO leadership, Kenya’s Ministry of ICT and Digital Economy on Cloud adoption among others, he also contributed to the Central Bank of Kenya's task force on digital currency.
FCPA. Geoffrey Munyao Malombe, is the Director, National Assets and Liabilities Department at the National Treasury- Kenya.
With a career spanning over twenty-five (25) years, mostly in Accounting, Audit, Strategy and Public Financial Management reforms, FCPA Geoffrey Malombe has served in various leadership roles. Over the years, he has contributed immensely to Public Policy, Strategy, Advocacy and the Accountancy profession in various ways; and in the execution of duties, responsibilities and special assignments in the public sector as well as the Council of the institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).
FCPA Geoffrey M. Malombe is a holder of Master of Business Administration (University of Nairobi), Master of Arts, International Studies (University of Nairobi) Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics (Egerton University), Fellow of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya since 2022 and holds a certificate in Strategy and Leadership from the Nairobi Defense College, Kenya. He was also a member of ICPAK Council for ten (10) years from 2009 to 2019.
Overtime, FCPA Geoffrey M. FCPA Geoffrey M. Malombe has served in several Boards, including KCB Group, KCB Kenya, National Bank of Kenya, Consolidated Bank of Kenya, Kenya Leather Council, National Water and Soil Conservation Board; Sports, Arts and Social Development Fund Board, Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) Board and the Kenya School of Law. In addition, and as part of community service, FCPA Geoffrey M. Malombe has served in the Board of Management as Chairman for St. Monica Mulutu Girls Secondary; St. Joseph Ithiani Mixed Secondary School; St. Matthias-Matinyani Boys High School, and St Michael Schools, Catholic Diocese of Kitui.
Ahmed Mohamud Mohamed is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and an experienced commercial lawyer specializing in financing agreements and Islamic finance, corporate law, and transactions agreements. He holds a Masters Degree in Law (LLM) and Bachelors of Law Degree (LLB) from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the College of Law, London, England.
Eric is currently the Head of Risk KCB Bank South Sudan Ltd. He is also a member of the Executive Management Committee and accountable to the Board Risk Committee of KCB Bank South Sudan. Eric is a seasoned banker with more than 25 years of banking experience having served the Bank in various units and capacities 16 years of which have been in Risk Management.
Eric is a risk professional and a Certified Risk Analyst CRA, International Academy of Business and Financial Management IABFM and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom.) degree in Finance from the University of Nairobi. He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Investment and Financial Analysts of Kenya ICIFA.
Currently the Head of Operations KCB Bank South Sudan, Stephen joined the Bank in June 2017 and has over 16 years of experience spanning Senior Management roles including Head of Information Technology KCB Bank South Sudan, Senior Manager I.T. Spire Bank Limited, Head of Information Technology Liberty Commercial Bank South Sudan and Habib Bank Limited. He is currently a sitting member of Executive Management Committee. He holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) Strategic Management from Kenyatta University, Bachelor of Science (BSC) in Computer Science from Catholic University of East Africa and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor.
Currently the Head of Treasury at KCB Bank South Sudan Ltd. Petro is also a member of the Executive Management Committee for KCB Bank South Sudan Ltd. Petro is Treasury and Markets Professional with over 16 years’ experience banking, having worked in Absa Bank Kenya PLC as a Dealer Treasury Execution Services and National Bank of Kenya as Head of Assets and Liability Management (ALM). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Finance and a Bachelor of Science (BSC) in Chemistry and Zoology from University of Nairobi. Petro is a certified dealer and a member of Financial Markets Association, ACI Kenya Chapter.
Education and Professional Background;
Charles holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and a Master of Science in Finance Degree, both from the University of Nairobi. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA K) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He has 17 years of banking experience, 15 of which has been in Audit & Risk Management.
Responsibility;
Developing an annual audit plan and identifying priorities and resource requirements for the year. Developing and executing a comprehensive audit program for the evaluation of management controls provided for the Bank’s activities. Preparing and presenting Quarterly Audit Reports to the Board Audit Committee on audit findings on control environment of the bank. Evaluating the effectiveness of the control and governance processes as well as the reliability of reporting information and ensuring that policies and standards are observed within the Subsidiary. Reviewing compliance to regulatory and statutory provisions. Coordinating with other assurance providers for efficient delivery of consultancy and advisory services.
He is currently The Head of Credit KCB Bank South Sudan effective February 2021 and a member of KCBSS Executive Management Committee. Laban joined KCB in 1991 and has over 33 years of banking experience, with over 29 years in Credit and lending environment.
He is responsible for maintaining a high-quality lending portfolio of the business along with commensurate Risk based returns while adding value and improving the credit process as well as risk identification and mitigation.
Education and Professional Background.
He holds BA Economics Major, CPAK Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. ACCA (Association of Charted Certified Accounts), and currently pursuing MA Economics. He is a member of Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK).
Responsibility
He is the Head of Finance for KCB Bank South Sudan Limited since January 2018. He has a strong background in Finance, Strategy, Financial reporting and Research. He has served as Finance manager for KCB Capital, KCFC (Kenya Corporate Finance Company) and KCB Bank Kenya Finance between 2008 and 2015. Prior to Joining KCB, Granton worked for United States International University (USIA) Finance department. He also did research for Afro Barometer International, Plan International and International Labor Organization (ILO).
Education and Professional Background.
He holds an MBA in Strategic Management, a BA Degree in Social Sciences and a Higher National Diploma in Human Resources Management. He is a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and holder of a HR Practicing license.

He is the current Head of Human Resources at KCB Bank South Sudan Limited effective 1st November 2022. Before Joining KCB South Sudan as the Head of Human Resources, he held the position of Senior Manager, Employee Relations in KCB Bank Kenya, HR -Division from 2015 to 30th November 2022. Prior to Joining KCB, Bramwel worked for Nzoia Sugar Company where he held various leadership positions within HR Department
Education and Professional Background.
Taban holds a Hons. degree in Banking & Finance from Kampala University and an MBA Finance from University of Juba. He is a member of East African institute of bankers, Member of East African Payment system, Executive member of Governing Council of South Sudan Banker’s Association and Chairperson of Collected Banks at the South Sudan National Revenue Authority. He is currently pursuing Ph.D. in Finance and economics.
Responsibility.
Taban is the current Head of Business Development at KCB Bank South Sudan from July 2023. Has strong background in Finance, Management, Strategy Formulation, People Management & Leadership, Driving Business and Regulatory Liaison. Taban previously worked at NCB (Nile Commercial Bank) as Branch Manager and Head of Operations from 2008. In 2012, he moved to Stanbic Bank South Sudan where he held various managerial responsibilities ranging from Chief Operating Officer, Head of Personal & Business Banking to Acting Country Head of Business prior joining KCB Bank South Sudan.
He is a former Army General with familiarity to the rigors of command structure, decision making and stakeholder management
