To access mobile banking services, dial *522# using your MTN line



What we need:

• Original national ID
• Must be a KCB Bank account holder
• A valid phone number for MTN

How to Activate

  • Upon registration, you will receive an SMS with your One Time PIN (OTP) valid for only 48 hours. Once you have received the OTP, dial *522#, enter the OTP and change to your preferred PIN to activate your mobile banking.

Services Available on Mobile Banking

The following services are available on KCB mobile banking

  • Buy airtime
  • Check account balance
  • Transfer funds
  • Access mini statements
  • Pay Bills at selected outlets
  • Deposit or withdraw funds at a KCB Bank Agent
  • Send money from KCB account to MGurush
  • Cash withdrawal from MGurush agents

How to Buy Airtime

  • Dial *522#
  • Enter mobile banking PIN
  • Select Airtime
  • Select for own or other Phone
  • Select from Account (the account you want to buy airtime from)
  • Enter Amount
  • Confirm transaction
  • You will receive a message from MTN showing your new balance and another message from KCB mobi confirming the purchase.

How to Transfer Funds

  • Dial *522#
  • Enter mobile banking PIN
  • Select Funds Transfer
  • Select where to transfer funds to (either to Own or other KCB Accounts)
  • Select the account to transfer from
  • Select source (either Account Number or Mobile Number)
  • Enter the account number you are transferring to
  • Enter amount
  • Confirm the transaction
  • You will receive a confirmation message from KCB Mobi for the transfer

How to Pay Bills

  • Dial *522#
  • Enter mobile banking PIN
  • Select Bill Payments
  • Select Non Registered
  • Select Account to pay from
  • Enter Biller Code
  • Enter Amount
  • Confirm the transaction
  • You will receive a confirmation message from KCB Mobi and the Biller will also receive a payment confirmation.

How to Check Account Balance?

  • Dial *522#
  • Enter mobile banking PIN
  • Select Enquiries
  • Select Balance
  • Select Account
  • You receive an SMS with your account balance

How to Acces Mini Statement

  1. Dial *522#
  2. Enter mobile banking PIN
  3. Select Enquiries
  4. Select Mini Statement
  5. Select delivery mode (either Phone or SMS)
  6. Select account
  7. You receive a Mini Statement on an SMS or a flash message depending on delivery mode chosen in (5) above.
